Abstract:

Stanton E. Smith (born 1905) was a labor leader in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He served as President of the Tennessee Federation of Labor and of the Tennessee State Labor Council. Smith's papers, 1938-1973, are comprised primarily of correspondence and other documents relating to his duties in those organizations, the Chattanooga Central Labor Union, and the Southern Labor School. The papers also include photographs and printed material.

Tex Forman papers

Abstract:

Originally from Kentucky, Otho Woodrow "Tex" Forman worked as a member of several country bands. In Atlanta, Forman was known as one of Pop Eckler's bandmates, appearing as part of Pop Eckler and His Young'Uns on WSB's "Cross Roads Follies" show in 1936. His papers contain twenty-eight photographs and photocopies of songbooks and lyrics, handbills, and articles.

Mr. Thomas D. Archer joined The International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local 926 in 1946 and was elected the Business Manager of the local in 1950. The Thomas D. Thomas Pesnicak PATCO collection

Abstract:

Thomas Pesnicak was a member of the Professional Air Traffic Controllers Organization (PATCO) and served as president of Local 204 in Leesburg, Virginia. In August of 1981, Pesnicak was fired alongside approximately 11,000 other PATCO members for participating in an illegal strike against the federal government. The Thomas Pesnicak collection consist primarily of photographs, artifacts, and one periodical.

Tracy W. O'Neal (1900-1976) had a long career as a newspaper and commercial photographer in Atlanta.
